Retired Couple Love The Reserve At Eden

Young at heart retirees, Ian and Frances Fyfe, searched for the perfect location where they could enjoy walks in the countryside and socialise with friends in the city.

Ian (67) and his wife Frances (64) recently moved into their new home at Bancon Homes’ The Reserve at Eden development after viewing the impressive workmanship at the Richmond style show home.

Having previously lived in Portlethen, the couple decided to move to the new development to take advantage of its idyllic location, with a nature reserve on its doorstep yet just minutes from Aberdeen city centre.

Frances said: “A family member received a leaflet through their letterbox which featured the homes at The Reserve.

“We decided to take a look around the development and were overwhelmed by the finish and workmanship in the show home, which then led us to look at the various house styles and site plan.”

Ian added: “Being able to look at what the different house styles had to offer helped us focus on what suited our needs and ultimately helped us to decide which plot was our favourite.”

The couple moved into the four-bedroom detached Viewfield style villa, which features a master bedroom with large en-suite and three further well-proportioned bedrooms, making the home perfect for welcoming family and friends to stay.

“We love the style of the house, it suits our needs perfectly,” added Ian. “It has a great open-plan kitchen, dining and entertaining area with French doors that open onto the garden, which makes the room bright and airy.

“We also love that there is a separate lounge for when it is just the two of us and we want somewhere a little cosier to relax.”

Comfort, convenience and contemporary living were a priority when searching for their new home and the homes at The Reserve proved to be a perfect fit.

Frances added: “The house has many features that benefit our lifestyle, such as the internal door from the garage to the hallway and the separate utility area.

“The bedrooms each have beautiful built-in wardrobes and our master bedroom has its own walk in wardrobe, which is fantastic.

“We chose to buy a new build as they are highly energy efficient and very low-maintenance. The homes at The Reserve also have fabulous high specification kitchens and bathrooms, which was a key deciding factor when choosing which housebuilder to buy from.”

Ian and Frances are now happily settled and are looking forward to the future in their new home and going on more walks through the nature reserve as warmer weather approaches.
